Agri-Industry Services: BSE / Border Closure ATB’s Commitment to the Agriculture Industry After 65 years of providing financial services, ATB Financial understands that there will be ups and downs in the agriculture industry. The current BSE-related border closure to live cattle and the lingering effects of drought in parts of Alberta, are again testing the fortitude and strength of this industry. We recognize the reality that the current uncertainty in the agricultural industry will take time to be resolved. ATB Financial believes that the best solutions in these challenging times will be found by working together with our customers. We continue to work with each of our customers affected by the BSE/border closure situation on an individual basis, to provide financial solutions wherever possible and as best we can to meet the needs of their operation. The federal and provincial governments in turn have introduced a number of aid programs to alleviate the financial impacts of the situation while officials work on resolving the trade embargo and meeting the requirements to resume trade. Customers are encouraged to contact their branch to proactively manage their accounts; and their respective government departments for information about the relief programs.
