Scholarships

ATB is proud to be provide scholarship to students attending various colleges throughout Alberta.

Learn about ATB Financial Agri-Industry scholarships - select the product below to learn how:

NAIT (Northwest Campuses) Scholarship — Phone: 780-471-7547

  • 2 disbursements of $500 per year
  • One disbursement for first year student
  • Second disbursement for second year student
  • In awards booklet
  • Through student awards department
  • Deadline for application: November 1st
  • Preference given to:
    • Canadian Citizen
    • Resident of Alberta for 5 years
    • Must be a Northwest Campus student
    • Enrolled in: Animal Health Tech, Equine-Horsemanship, Equine-Horse Training, Horticulture Technician, Turfgrass Equipment Tech, or Turfgrass Management programs
    • Parents involved in Ag production
    • Student must have a farming background and be thinking of returning to farming when completed school

Lakeland College Scholarship — Phone: 1-800-661-6490

  • 2 disbursements of $500 per year
  • Second year Ag program student
  • Application available: beginning of January
  • Refer to College Awards Booklet
  • Through student awards/ financial-aid department
  • Deadline for application: end of January
  • Preference given to:
    • Canadian Citizen
    • Resident of Alberta for 5 years
    • Must be a Lakeland College student
    • Must be enrolled in Ag Science program
    • Parents must be involved in Ag production
    • Student must have a farming background and be thinking of returning to farming when completed school

Lethbridge Community College Scholarship — Phone: 403-320-3367

  • 2 disbursements of $500 per year
  • One disbursement for a second year LCC student
  • Second disbursement for student completing Ag Tech program
  • Application available: March 1
  • Through student awards department
  • Online – www.lethbridgecollege.ab.ca
  • Deadline for application: end of April
  • Preference given to:
    • Must have completed one year of schooling at LCC
    • Must be an LCC student
    • Must be enrolled in Ag Tech program
    • Parents must be involved in Ag production
    • Student must have a farming background

Olds College Scholarship — Phone: 403-556-8285

  • 2 disbursements of $500 per year
  • Application available: October 1st
  • In awards booklet
  • Through student awards department
  • Online via Olds Intranet
  • Deadline for application: November 1st
  • Preference given to:
    • Must be an Olds College student
    • Must be enrolled in Ag Business or Ag Production programs
    • Parents must be involved in Ag production
    • Student must have a farming background and be thinking of returning to farming when completed school

University of Alberta – Scholarship — Phone: 780-492-3221

  • 1 disbursement of $1,000 per year
  • Application available via Faculty of Agriculture
  • Deadline for application:
  • Preference given to:
    • Students entering 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year
    • Need to be in Bachelor of Science in Ag/Food Business Management degree program.
    • Recipients chosen based on academic standing
    • Recipient selected by Faculty of Agriculture and verified by Student Awards Office

4-H Scholarships — Phone: 780-682-2153

  • 5 disbursements of $500 per year
  • Application available via Alberta 4-H Branch
  • 4-H Foundation or Alberta Agriculture website
  • Deadline for application: Please refer to 4-H Branch
  • Online: 4-H Website and Alberta 4-H Centre
  • Preference given to:
    • A Canadian citizen and Alberta resident for at least 5 years
    • A 4-H member with at least 2 years experience (prior to application)

Available for students attending any Alberta university or college offering degree transfer credits in their chosen field of study. Applications are available through 4-H Foundation.
