ATB presents $2,500 GIC to CFR Contest Winner

Onoway, Alberta -Alberta Treasury Branches (ATB) will award a $2,500 Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) to Irene Oselies of Alberta Beach, winner of the ATB Canadian Finals Rodeo (CFR) customer contest.

"This year ATB sponsored the opening ceremonies at the CFR," explains Brian Countryman, Manager, Community Relations. "As part of that sponsorship, 43 Edmonton and area ATB branches held customer contests. We also had a booth at the CFR where customers could enter a grand prize draw for $2,500 credit on an ATB MasterCard. Thousands of contest entries were received."

Irene and her husband are customers of the ATB Onoway branch. Irene indicated a preference for an investment product, rather than a MasterCard credit. "In the spirit of the contest, we are giving Irene a $2,500 GIC," says Countryman.

Each of the 43 branches also gave away three rodeo prize packages that included a pair of tickets to the CFR for Saturday, November 10 and a program voucher.
