| News Release: December 19, 2001 Alberta Treasury Branches issues Christmas Bureau Donation Challenge Alberta Treasury Branches will provide a matching corporate donation to the Edmonton Christmas Bureau, for the first $2,500 of donations received at Edmonton Alberta Treasury Branch locations on Wednesday, December 19, 2001. "This corporate matching gift is to encourage local businesses and the community at large to give to the Christmas Bureau," says Brian Countryman, ATB's Community Relations Manager. "ATB has supported the Edmonton Christmas Bureau for many years as a donations depot. This promotion is another way to help raise money and awareness for a great cause." Established in 1940, the Christmas Bureau has continued the tradition of sharing and has fulfilled its mission for over 60 years thanks to the exceptional support of the community. This year, the Christmas Bureau is challenged with providing a festive meal to over 15,000 families plus 3,500 singles, seniors, and childless couples.
