| News Release: September 4, 2007 ATB Financial raises $440,000 for children’s health in Alberta Alberta - During the eighth annual Teddy for a Toonie campaign, ATB raised $440,000 for the Stollery and Alberta Children's Hospital Foundations. To date, ATB Financial has raised more than $1.9 million for the two foundations since the campaign began in 2000. "The success of the Teddy for a Toonie campaign demonstrates the commitment our associates and customers have to improving children's health in Alberta," says Kathie Arychuk, Senior Manager, Community Relations, ATB Financial. "We would like to thank everyone for their support of this worthwhile cause." From April 30 to May 31, 2007, customers donated $2 to the cause by entering a draw to win a teddy bear at each ATB Financial location. After the campaign ended, an additional $25,000 was presented to the Alberta Children's Hospital from funds raised at the ATB Financial Classic in Calgary. Proceeds from the campaign will support telehealth, also known as videoconferencing, in both regions. Telehealth connects families, children and medical experts to other health sites for clinical and educational purposes. The program allows physicians to diagnose and treat patients at point of care, saving children and their families the stress and expense of travelling to urban centres. Both foundations are non-profit organizations that support children's health throughout Alberta. ATB Financial, an Alberta-based financial institution, was established in 1938. Today, ATB serves more than 600,000 customers in 245 communities through a network of branches, agencies, a Customer Contact Centre, automated banking machines and electronic banking services.
