| News Release: June 6, 1997 Alberta Treasury Branches Appoints Senior Vice-President, Branch Sales and Services Alberta Treasury Branches (ATB) is pleased to welcome Robert J. Normand as Senior Vice-President, Branch Sales and Services, effective June 16, 1997. Mr. Normand will have overall responsibility for our various distribution channels. His primary focus will be to build on our customer service and loan origination capabilities and significantly grow our share of the commercial, retail, and agri-food sectors of the Alberta economy. "Bob Normand is a dynamic manager with a high performance track record in the financial services industry," said Paul Haggis, Chief Executive Officer and Superintendent of ATB. "He will play a key role as Alberta Treasury Branches continues to focus on delivering financial services that meet the current and future needs of Albertans." Mr. Normand has significant senior management experience in the banking industry, including over 25 years with the Bank of Montreal in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta. Prior to his appointment with ATB, he was Vice-President, Edmonton Region for the Bank of Montreal, responsible for 33 Edmonton-area branches and the Auto Finance Team for Northern Alberta.
