Alberta Treasury Branches Announces Locations For Regional Offices
For Immediate Release
Edmonton, Alberta - Alberta Treasury Branches (ATB) today announced the implementation of a Regional Office structure for its branches and agencies throughout Alberta.
"One of the key directions in our business plan is to organize for success," said Paul G. Haggis, Chief Executive Officer and Superintendent of Alberta Treasury Branches. "Through the regional network of branches and agencies, we expect to increase ATB's visibility and decision-making capabilities within geographic regions. Our goal is to be Alberta's first choice in services, products, and locations."
A total of 11 regions that group similar trading areas have been created, with an average of 12 to 15 branches each (except the Northeast and Southeast regions which due to geographic diversity contain 17 and 9 branches respectively). Due to their size and unique portfolios, Edmonton Main Branch and Calgary Main Branch will operate as separate entities.
The new regional network will be fully implemented by July 1997. Staffing will include a Regional Vice-President, a Regional Credit Manager, a Personal Sales Manager and in some cases two or three specialists (such as an agrologist), representing ATB's three target market areas: independent business, agricultural operations, and individual services.
Regional offices will be established in Calgary, Claresholm, Edmonton (two regions), Grande Prairie, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Stettler, Stony Plain, Vegreville, and Westlock.
