What life learnings do you bring to your role as a Business Banking Advisor?
When I was younger, I worked for a bakery. The couple that owned the shop were very hard working. No matter how early I started my shift in the morning, they would already be working. During busy seasons, like Christmas, they were only able to sleep for a few hours a day. They slept in the shop so they could get back to baking as quickly as possible. They worked hard at their business and built up a good reputation, so they decided to open a second location but they weren’t able to get financing from the bank. After this happened, I was motivated to get a job helping small business owners in similar situations, as I really understand and empathize with what entrepreneurs go through. During my two and a half years with the Business Banking Centre, I tried to go back to the bakery to help them, but they have since closed down.
What are you doing when you’re not at ATB?
I love to cook and bake for friends and family. My favorite dish to cook is chicken.
Favorite place in Alberta?
Canmore, because I love the mountains.
