Co-op and work experience programs

ATB Financial offers a variety of co-op and work experience programs. These programs expose you to relevant professional assignments and introduce you to the unique responsibilities of a specific line of business or support area. Assignments are arranged directly through our branch network or corporate offices and your school or training institution.

Student work experience programs

ATB partners with a number of institutions to give students the opportunity to practise what they have learned. Arrangements are usually managed directly by the school and branch or business unit to ensure that specific program and student learning objectives are met.

Co-op programs

Enhance your understanding of our operations and make positive, creative contributions at ATB Financial. Assignment length varies from 4 to 16 months and is subject to the requirements of the program as outlined by the participating institution.

Up to the challenge? Eligible students must be enrolled in an accredited full-time co-op or intern degree program. Co-op opportunities are available throughout the academic year. If you are in a co-op program and are interested in doing a placement with ATB Financial, contact your co-op office.

Internship programs

ATB’s internship programs create the perfect work environment to foster on-the-job training critical to being successful in a mid- to senior-level position.

Programs are typically 18 to 24 months long, and interns can expect to spend 4 to 6 months in different areas of the business, deepening their understanding of ATB Financial and the specific critical success factors and challenges unique to that business unit. At the end of the program, successful interns demonstrate their in-depth understanding of the various areas of the business in a permanent position with ATB.

Specific requirements are customized based on the specific requirements of the intern program and may be geared toward recent grads of an undergraduate or graduate business program.
