Join us for ATB Zoo Day

Posted on: May 29, 2015
Author: Jennifer Kohle

It wasn't long ago that the swift fox was extinct in Canada. The same year that ATB was founded, 1938, was the last time that the swift fox was seen in Alberta until a successful reintroduction program began in 1983.

Through the leadership of the Calgary Zoo, conservationists were able to reintroduce the swift fox back to Alberta. The program has proven to be the most successful reintroduction of a nationally extinct carnivore in the world.

ATB supports the Zoo's ongoing efforts to study the species and educate the general public about the importance of animal conservation.

Join us Saturday June 20, 2015 at ATB Zoo Day at the Calgary Zoo

  • ATB customers get 2-for-1 admission (just show your ATB debit or ATB MasterCard®).
  • We’ll be onsite from 9 am – 2 pm with giveaways for the kids.
  • In celebration of the ATB Financial Swift Fox Conservation Program.

Download and print our Swift Fox colouring page!
