Helping Hands supports ATB team members who volunteer for organizations.
If you received a rebate, how would you spend it?
Well, when ATB received its rebate for buying in bulk, online, and environmentally friendly products from our office suppliers, we decided to spend the rebate on our greatest asset: our employees.
ATB Financial team members are amazing volunteers. Every day throughout Alberta, ATBers take time out of their busy lives to volunteer for charities, sports associations, and community organizations. They work hard to make Alberta a better place to live.
This year, 100 per cent of our office supplies rebate will be used to fund Helping Hands, the program that provides financial support to organizations where our team members volunteer their time. Team members who put in over 40 hours of community work annually can apply for a $500 donation to the organization where they volunteer.
This year alone, our people have volunteered over 15,603 hours throughout Alberta. As recognition, ATB has provided over $65,000 in volunteer grants in their names.
When we received this year’s rebate, we couldn’t think of a better way to spend it then by celebrating the incredible work our people do to keep this province strong. We think this is a pretty innovative way to leverage our purchasing power to invest in our people and communities.
