Over the 10 days of the Stampede, 2 million mini doughnuts are consumed.

That’s a lot of sugar and cinnamon—and a big boost to Calgary’s economy. Stats show that for every $1 spent at the Stampede, $2.65 gets spent in the city due to tourism. Assuming it costs $5 for a bag of mini-doughnuts, that’s $13.25 in tourism dollars for every bag of mini-donuts sold. When the event wraps up, this delectable treat represents over $1,060,000 in spending.
