Natural Gas rises 3 cents

Posted on: May 04, 2017

NYMEX NG futures saw support at $3.17 and ultimately gained 3 cents to settle at $3.23. Today’s EIA report is expected to see a 61-Bcf rise in stockpiles versus the 5 year average of 63-Bcf. Cooler weather in the Northeast and warmer than normal in the Midwest for May 8-12. Hydroelectric power driven by melted snow in the Northern Sierra Nevada has drastically reduced natural gas demand in Texas. Inventories stood at 2.189-Tcf as of April 21.
