Natural gas climbs 3 cents higher

Posted on: November 10, 2017

NG continues the rally higher to reach a settle of $3.20 for the day with a surge of cold weather rolling in from the Midwest to the East Coast forecasted out to Nov 9-13 by the Commodity Weather Group. To further affirm the higher prompt prices was the weak inventory build confirmation of +15-Bcf by the EIA. Inventories are now 1.8% below the five year average (BNEF).

The so called "cherry on top" was the formation of a weak La Nina to stimulate heating demand in the Northern US.
