Already an ATB customer? You’ll need a current address on file with ATB, as well as your recipient’s name and address, bank country, account name and account number. Specific countries may require additional information prompted by the system: branch code, transit code, routing number, purpose of payment, etc.
Note: When sending to US bank accounts, the ABA routing number needed is the ACH/electronic transfers number (NOT the Fedwire ABA routing number.)
Not an ATB customer? Browse our accounts and sign up easily online.
ATB may charge a service fee depending on the amount sent and what type of account you have. All service fees are provided up front at the time of your Global Transfer request. You may be charged an additional fee if your recipient's information is incorrect and their bank returns the transfer.
ATB Global Transfers rates are based on real-time foreign exchange rates for all Global Transfers including USD exchanges. This ensures you receive accurate, real-time pricing every time you send a Global Transfer.
Your recipient just needs to have a bank account that can accept deposits.
International business transfers use a process that Global Transfers doesn’t support. But don’t worry—we’ve still got your back. Businesses that send occasional transfers can send international wires through ATB Online Business. If you make international payments more often, ATB FX gives you the tools to send money anywhere, any time.
If you are trying to send funds to a country not serviced by Global Transfers, please contact your nearest ATB branch to determine if an international wire transfer can be sent instead.
You can use the Global Transfer History tab to view the status of your order. It usually takes between one and three business days to deliver. If you send a transfer on a weekend or a bank holiday it may take longer.
If you send funds to a destination serviced by wires it may take longer based on the partner banks who help process the request.
You may see the following status types:
That means the bank code is incorrect. Please check with your recipient to confirm their banking information and try your transfer again. For transfers to the Philippines or Thailand, you can see the list of banks that accept Global Transfers above. If you don’t see your recipient’s bank listed there, please visit an ATB branch to send a wire transfer instead.
