What life learnings do you bring to your role as a Business Banking Advisor?
I went to the University of Calgary and obtained a bachelor degree in urban studies. I came out of the program knowing nothing about banking but I had a lot of previous customer service experience. That made me a great candidate for the ATB Customer Care Centre. In this role, I learned all of the banking basics and knowledge about ATB and that set me up for success as a Business Banking Advisor.
What are you doing when you’re not at ATB?
Boxing and softball. I have been boxing for seven years and have been on the ATB softball team for three years. I have learned a lot from playing sports that allows me to relate to the entrepreneurs I work with. In order to improve, you need to be persistent and patient. Anything worth having takes time.
Main goal for the year ahead?
I am currently preparing to take my GMAT exam so I can enroll in the MBA program.
