Stories of impact

ATB targets social programs where we can use our talents and expertise to impact the lives of people and communities in Alberta.

Bank in the heart

Four Directions Financial Services is a financial institution run by Boyle Street Community Services. It ensures Edmonton's inner city agency clients who are homeless or living in poverty can open—often for the first time—a bank account with a mainstream financial institution.

Financial empowerment

ATB is part of a movement to use financial empowerment strategies to improve the financial security of Albertans. That can be done through financial literacy education and working with partners to offer tailored financial and savings products—even safe places for people at risk to store their identification.

Affordable housing

ATB sees an opportunity to use our financial know-how to improve and increase affordable housing options in Alberta. We make donations to partners who are operating shelters and building and renovating supportive housing. ATB is providing tailored financing for several organizations allowing them to purchase land and build affordable housing units.
