The Healthy Community Challenge

Cardel Place is on a mission to raise healthier generations in Calgary and beyond, and ATB is excited to be on board. The Healthy Community Challenge is a 30-, 60- or 90-day community challenge designed to encourage whole communities to get healthier in mind, body and spirit through focus on physical activity, nutrition, hydration, sleep, and social habits. The challenge runs March 24 to June 21.

Through the use of a specially designed website, participants in the Challenge are able to track their progress and accumulate points based on their healthy choices. The Healthy Community Challenge tracker also provides on-going information and support through daily video tips and motivational resources.

Prizes will be awarded at the end of the Challenge for both the community and individual(s) who demonstrate the biggest shift in lifestyle (as indicated by point total); however, the greatest rewards received will not be those that can be counted on paper, but those that can be measured in feeling, outlook and attitude.

ATB has a strong relationship with Cardel Place. In 2013, we hosted a drop-in clinic wellness program at the facility. And on Saturday, March 22, friendly ATB staff managed a booth at the Family Health Expo.

Thanks to all the Calgarians who came out to say "hi" and commit to a healthy spring, summer, and beyond.
