The Young Guns Competition
September 19 – October 19

If you can't wait until mid-October to get your laugh on, check out the Young Guns Competition at River Cree Casino. Starting Wednesday, September 19—and on the following two Wednesdays—27 local amateur comics will take to the River Cree Casino stage for a rowdy round-robin comedy showdown.

All three shows, plus the semi-finals on October 10 and the finals on October 17, are free, so mark those dates on your calendar and show your support for Edmonton's most talented funnymen and funnywomen.

Last year, Alberta's capital came alive as hundreds of Edmontonians sought out the Edmonton Comedy Festival to experience the hilarity and diversity it had to offer. This year's laugh-fuelled event will run from October 17-21, and feature performers from all over North America.

With over 20 wickedly-funny shows at various venues across the city, it is guaranteed to bring lively festival fun to Edmonton. Don't miss celebrity comics like Derek Edwards, Simon King, and Louis Ramey as they share in our love of laughter.

ATB Financial is proud to be the presenting sponsor for the second straight year.

"ATB is a big supporter of local festivals throughout Alberta, and we're excited to help bring the Edmonton Comedy Festival back to the capital region this fall," says Dave Mowat, CEO of ATB Financial. "This festival proves that with lots of persistence—and a few great punch lines—you can attract the biggest names in comedy while showcasing Alberta's home-grown talent as well."
