New playground in low-income Calgary neighbourhood

Parks help build communities—they are a gathering place where children play and make friends, neighbours connect, and families spend quality time.

This summer, we were able to help bring a playground to a low-income neighbourhood in Calgary, by supporting Parks Foundation Calgary. Although there’s nothing wrong with making a straight donation, our associates care deeply about their communities and also stepped up to lend a hand. Working alongside parents and other community members, 14 associates volunteered their time over two days to help make the Highlands community playground a reality.

ATB is proud to play a role in improving the quality of life for families and children through this project and many other community parks and playgrounds that help make Alberta a better place to live. Last year, ATB contributed to the construction of 13 parks and playgrounds across the province, as well as 12 community arenas, pools, recreation centres and event halls.
