ATB recognized for inclusion

ATB is on the 2019 list of Best Workplaces™ for Inclusion. The recognition comes as a result of a thorough and independent analysis conducted by Great Place to Work®.

To make the list, organizations must be Great Place to Work Certified and at least 90 per cent of employees must agree they are treated fairly, regardless of personal characteristics (such as gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation).

“Creating a culture of belonging is really important to us,” said Liz Stretch ATB’s chief people officer. “This recognition is gratifying but we know there’s more we can do to make sure ATB team members feel comfortable being themselves at work—and being allies for one another.”

ATB’s team member networks can take some of the credit for making the Alberta-based financial institution more inclusive. The groups provide support and foster innovative ideas for team members (and customers too).

The networks include:

  • Ability (that’s Scott Herron in the picture above, the Chair of the Ability Network)
  • Ellevate
  • Filipino
  • Indigenous
  • Mental Health Action Team
