Natural gas falls 8 cents

Posted on: April 29, 2016

Welcome to the front of the curve, June! Gas lost 8 cents on Thursday to settle at $2.08. The big driver was a larger than expected injection of 73 bcf compared to expectations of 65 bcf. Forecasts were also bearish, putting pressure on NYMEX and AECO followed it lower. AECO basis was stronger at the front but lost ground further out on the curve.

Today we see support around $2.01 and resistance around $2.14.
