Crude gains on Brexit doubts, retreats in early trading.

Posted on: June 21, 2016

Will they or won't they? Until Brexit is resolved, don't expect volatility to diminish. It was a risk on day to start the week, and WTI gained $1.39 to settle at $49.37 while Brent broke above $50. It seems like every few hours there is a new "scientific" poll predicting the results that dramatically sways the market in one direction or another. This morning the curve is giving back some of the gains from yesterday, back to a $48 handle in early trading.
