Natural gas gains 9.2 cents

NYMEX natural gas traded in a range of $0.227 before closing the day at $3.695, a 9.2 cent gain on the day. After trading down a bit in the early morning, the prompt month took some ground in the late morning and continued up into the afternoon regardless of storage figures slightly off expectations. The EIA has reported a draw of 42-Bcf on inventories against the anticipated 44-Bcf.

Today we see support around $3.60 and resistance around $3.85.
