Natural Gas gains 0.6 cents

Posted on: January 06, 2017

NYMEX Natural Gas moved within a $0.174 range, settling $0.006 higher at $3.273. EIA storage figure released yesterday shows a draw of 49-Bcf, which was well below the market expectations. The bearish news caused an initial dip in the prices, however was able to recover throughout the afternoon. Gasoline stockpiles rose 8.31 million barrels last week according to the EIA.

Short term weather forecast continues to be warmer for Eastern and Southern US, placing downward pressure on speculative positions.
