Natural gas gains 1.5 cents

NYMEX natural gas moved in a tight range of $0.079 on Thursday and settled at $3.141/MMBtu, gaining 1.5 cents. The EIA announced that natural gas inventories fell by 147-Bcf, which was a bit shy of the market expectations. Working gas in storage now totals 2,559-Bcf. The Eastern US is getting hit with a major storm with reports of up to 20 inches of snow in some areas.

Weather models continue to move through the West in the extended forecast.
