Crude gains 19 cents on last minute rally

Posted on: April 06, 2016

WTI churned along for most of the session before catching a bid heading into the settle. The front future gained 19 cents to settle at $35.89 while Brent settled at $37.87. The rally was limited to the front of the curve, as the backs did not recover from early selling pressure.

After the settle, APIs were released which showed a large draw in Crude stocks, sparking a rally which continues early this morning. We shall see if the EIA report confirms the draw later this morning.
