Crude gains $0.45

Posted on: July 13, 2017

The EIA figures are in and the magic number is 7.56 million... coming in slightly below the earlier API estimate 8.13 million barrels draw, keep in mind, however, this is still the largest EIA draw since September. Although this would appear quite bullish it was counteracted by the increase in US production to 9.397 million barrels per day, as well as the 3.131 million build in Distillate.

Nigeria's oil minister has conveyed his acceptance of an output cap of 1.8 million which would be 100K more than their current production levels. WTI prompt futures gained $0.45 to settle at $45.49.
