Natural gas down 5 cents

Posted on: September 18, 2017

The 25-29 weather model (MDA Weather Services) for the Eastern half of the U.S is bullish with above average temperatures, however, a slight revision downwards in temperature for near term models took back gains. In addition, market participants just couldn't look past the fact that there was a large 91-Bcf gain reported last Thursday.

La Nina may prove to be very supportive to heating demand in the longer-term Nov-Jan models. All in all NG prompt futures took a dip 6 cents lower to settle at $3.02 on Friday.
