Natural gas falls 3 cents

Posted on: September 21, 2017

Hurricane Maria tore through the island of Puerto Rico at an alarming speed and threatened both lives and the already weakened energy infrastructure post Hurricane Irma. The weather fundamentals in the U.S have been much more forgiving and the models have persisted with higher cooling demand for the remainder of Sept in the majority of the East. This is quite unusual for this time of year before we enter the season of heating demand. BNEF has projected a range up to triple digits for the weekly inventory figures to be published later today by the EIA...if those come to fruition we may see a dip in NG prices. NG settled 3 cents lower to $3.09.
