Natural gas unchanged

Posted on: September 27, 2017

NG prompt futures settled unchanged at $2.92 even after favorable BNEF stockpile estimates. BNEF anticipates a 56-Bcf gain versus the 5 year average of 84-Bcf. In addition to the stockpile estimate the Eastern half of the US has been warmer than normal going out into the Oct 10 model from MDA Weather Services. Propane prices have soared, reflecting the optimism that La Nina may create a chilled Winter with higher heating demand as we enter the seasonal transition period.
