That's why we developed a simple, easy-to-use banking app. So, you can do what you need to do and still have plenty of time to do what you want.


Available on any compatible Apple, Android, or BlackBerry device, ATB Mobile provides instant access to your banking information through a secure connection with our online banking system. In fact, your ATB Mobile username and password is the same as your ATB Online username and password.

Getting Started

What is ATB Mobile?

  • ATB Mobile allows all ATB Online users to do their banking from anywhere, at any time. It's a free software application which can be downloaded and installed on your Apple, Android, or BlackBerry mobile device. With this application, you can check your account balance and history, transfer funds between your accounts, pay bills, and more.
  • If you have an ATB Online account, you can use ATB Mobile. Unfortunately, the app does not support ATB Online Business customers at this time.

How much does ATB Mobile cost?

  • ATB Mobile is free to our customers to both download and use.
  • Any transactions you complete in ATB Mobile will be logged as an account transaction, and depending on the type of account you have, there may be a fee associated with each transaction. Please check the number of free transactions that are included with your account.
  • Be sure to know the conditions of your mobile device plan as standard wireless messaging and data charges apply. If you are travelling, standard roaming charges may also apply.

How do I download ATB Mobile?

  • All apps will be located in the "App Store" of their respective device—simply search "ATB Mobile".  You can also access the appropriate links on All applications are free for our customers.

Is ATB Mobile  available in multiple languages?

  • ATB Mobile is currently available only in English.

What phones can use ATB Mobile?

  • ATB Mobile is available for any Apple, Blackberry, and Android mobile device. There is also a version available for any mobile browser phone at
  • ATB Mobile is available on the Apple iPad and the Android tablet, however the application does not take up the full view on the screen as it will with smart phones. ATB Mobile is not available on the BlackBerry Playbook tablet.
  • More specifically, the minimum operating system requirements are listed below:
    • iPhone: minimum iOS4 operating system. To find out your current operating system, go to Settings > GeneralAbout > Version
    • Blackberry: minimum BB6.x operating system. To find out your current operating system, go to Options >About
    • Android: minimum Android 2.3.5 or 4.0.X operating systems. To find out your current operating system, go to Settings >About Phone

What is Mobile Browser Banking?

  • Mobile browser banking is a version of ATB Mobile that allows you to bank using any handheld mobile device. You don't need to download an app to use mobile browser banking—instead, you access your accounts through
  • As long as your phone has internet access, mobile browser banking will work on your mobile device.
  • You still need to be registered for ATB Online in order to use mobile browser banking.

Why should I use ATB Mobile?

  • ATB Mobile allows you to do the majority of your banking anywhere and anytime. It's convenient because you do not need to sit down at a computer, call the Customer Contact Centre, or set foot in a branch.

When can I use ATB Mobile to do my banking?

  • ATB Mobile is available when ATB Online is available: 24/7/365.

What if there is a problem with ATB Mobile?

  • If there is a problem with ATB Mobile, you will see a message that advises you of the outage when you attempt to access the app. It will be similar to any outage notice which might be displayed on ATB Online.

What if my phone is lost or stolen?

  • If your phone is lost or stolen, you should first call your carrier immediately to let them know and cancel your current phone. There will be no impact to your ATB Mobile account because no information is saved on your phone and your account information is password protected.
  •  If you are concerned that someone may have access to your user name and password, please call our Customer Contact Centre at 1-866-282-4932 and inform them that you would like to reset your ATB Mobile username and password (which is, by extension, your ATB Online username and password). You will have to use this new username and password the next time you access ATB Mobile or ATB Online.

What if I get a new phone number?

  • The phone number on your mobile device will not impact your ability to use ATB Mobile. You can continue to use ATB Mobile as normal.

What information is stored on my mobile device?

  • No personal information (customer data) is stored on your mobile device.

Is my customer name/card number or password stored on the app?

  • ATB Mobile does not store customer data, names, numbers, or passwords.

How can I protect my privacy and the security of my information?

  • Remember, ATB Mobile is similar to ATB Online and should be protected in the same way.  Here are some basic tips to remember when creating passwords for mobile devices:
    • Ensure your password is secret—never reveal it to anyone.
    • Do not write your password down or save it somewhere. Memorize it.
    • Never leave your mobile device unattended.
    • Be sure to log out of ATB Mobile after each use.
    • Do not use the same password for multiple sites.
    • Do not include your birthday or that of family or friends, as well as addresses, your name, or telephone number.
    • Make sure to lock your cell phone when you're not using it.

Log In:

Do I need to be registered for ATB Online to use ATB Mobile?

  • Yes.  All customers that sign up for, or already have access to, ATB Online will automatically have access to ATB Mobile. There is no separate enrolment process required for the mobile app.
  • All retail customers as well as any simple business and ag customers on the ATB Online platform will be able to use ATB Mobile, however, it is not available for ATB Online Business customers.

Where do I receive my user name and password?

  • Once you are registered with ATB Online, you are automatically registered for the ATB Mobile app. Your username and password will be the same as ATB Online.

Where do I log in?

  • When you open ATB Mobile on your mobile device, you will be taken directly to the log-in screen. Your username and password will be the same as your ATB Online banking log-in information.

What if I don't remember my user name or password for ATB Mobile?

  • If you forget your user name and/or password (or lock the account by entering the incorrect information three times) you will need to call the ATB Customer Contact Centre at 1-866-282-4932to reset your information. This change will also reset the user name and password for your ATB Online account.

What accounts can I view?

  • With ATB Mobile, you can view all your deposit accounts, investments (registered and non-registered, as long as they are not held by ATB Investor Services), loans, and credit card balances.
  • ATB Investor Services investment products and RESP products are not available to view on ATB Mobile.

Can I make a payment to my loan from ATB Mobile?

  • Yes, payments can be made from an eligible account to an eligible revolving line of credit, open term loan, or mortgage. This capability is housed in the Transfers section and will allow you to make an immediate transfer, a future dated transfer, or a recurring transfer to that loan account.

What does the 'Future Dated Payment/Transfer' feature do?

  • Future dated payments or transfers allow you to create a bill payment or transfer for a future date so you do not need to remember to log in to your ATB Mobile or ATB Online account and make the payment/transfer.
  • These transfers and bill payments can be cancelled up to 24 hours before they are set to occur. After that time, the system cannot process your cancellation.

Will I receive text notifications or web alerts in regards to ATB Mobile?

  • Unfortunately, the text notification or web alert features are not available at this time.

View and Pay Bills:

Can I add a new creditor for a bill payment via ATB Mobile?

  • No, a new creditor must be first added on ATB Online before the creditor can be accessed on ATB Mobile.

Can I pay a bill in US Currency?

  • No, in ATB Mobile, bills can be paid only in Canadian currency from a Canadian deposit account, which is the same as ATB Online.

Can I set up future dated bill payments on ATB Mobile?

  • Yes, you can create future dated and recurring payments for both bill payments and transfers, assuming you have already added the creditor through ATB Online.

Technical Support:

I locked myself out of ATB Mobile. What do I do?

  • Because ATB Mobile works in conjunction with your ATB Online account, you will technically be locked out of both services. Please call our Customer Contact Centre at 1-866-282-4932and an ATB associate will help you unlock both accounts.

I need help using ATB Mobile. Who do I contact?

  • Give our Customer Contact Centre a call at 1-866-282-4932, and an ATB associate will be happy to help you with ATB Mobile.

I am receiving a message on ATB Mobile that I don't understand. What do I do?

  • Call our Customer Contact Centre at 1-866-282-4932 for assistance. 

What hours are the ATB Mobile Support/ATB Online Support associates available at the Customer Contact Centre?

  • The ATB Mobile Support/ATB Online Support teams are available from 7am to 11pm daily. You can reach them at 1-866-282-4932.


How do I get updates for the latest version of ATB Mobile?

  • You will be notified of any ATB Mobile updates for your specific device when you log in to the application. You will then be able to follow a link to your specific app store to download the updated version.

How do I delete or uninstall ATB Mobile?

  • If you no longer want to use the ATB Mobile app, you can simply delete it from your mobile device. As always, none of your account information will be saved on your phone.

Will there be new features added to ATB Mobile in the future?

  • Absolutely! We are working hard to add new features to ATB Mobile. You will receive an update notification when these features are ready for you to use.

How can I tell the difference between an ATB Online transaction and an ATB Mobile transaction?

  • It depends on how you're viewing your transactions: in ATB Online, you will be able to see these details, but in ATB Mobile, telephone banking, or at the ABM you won't.
