You are eligible to apply for an ATB Alberta Mastercard if you meet all the following criteria:
- are an Alberta resident
- are at least 18 years old
- have not declared personal bankruptcy in the past five years
- intend to use the card for personal banking only
Yes. You can apply for this card with a co-applicant and use it jointly. Both co-applicants must meet the eligibility requirements.
It's called Mastercard Zero Liability, which means that, if your card is used for an unauthorized transaction, as long as you’ve used reasonable care in safeguarding your card and PIN and you report the loss or theft of your card to ATB Financial immediately after becoming aware of it, you won't be held responsible for fraudulent charges. So you can rest easy. Also, as soon as we learn that your card is stolen, we will cancel it and issue a new one.
