As Director of Accessibility, Sean leads the development of ATB’s strategy to become an industry leader in inclusion by supporting the growth and harmonization of accessibility initiatives across the organization. He is responsible for creating a seamless, barrier-free experience for both clients and team members through proactive improvements and building a culture of collective understanding. His leadership contributes to the team’s success by ensuring transparency and embedding accessibility into the heart of ATB’s core operations.
Sean’s leadership in universal design is deeply personal, driven by his experience as a quadriplegic and his passion for reshaping society's approach to disability inclusion. At ATB, Sean leverages this expertise to drive a barrier-free experience by championing the adoption of universal design principles across all business lines. He is dedicated to closing systemic gaps and fostering a "return on inclusion" that empowers both team members and clients to thrive. A compelling TEDx speaker, recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal and a member of the Avenue Calgary Top 40 Under 40 for 2022, he is a sought-after subject matter expert committed to closing the systemic gaps in social and economic inclusion. Outside of work, Sean enjoys volunteering and spending quality time with his young, growing family as they explore new accessible venues, nature trails and community events.
