This week I move into my role as President & CEO of ATB Financial. I am feeling so fortunate to follow in the path of Dave Mowat, a great leader we at ATB have had the privilege of working with for 11 years. I’ve learned so much from him and look forward to building on his success.

If you’re a customer, I want you to know that the things you love about us will stay the same. Our promise to listen still stands. But we know we still have work to do. Our quest to make banking work for people is something I am committed to. You’ll see us continuing to invest in technology and keeping an eye to the future so we can provide exceptional services as your life (and the world) changes.

If you’re not a customer, I’d like you to know that you matter to us too. A key line in the ATB Story is that we are genuine in our pursuit of Albertans’ greater good. The things we do work toward making our province stronger. That means supporting causes and communities that matter to you.

Of course, we’d also like you to give us a try. We were created almost 80 years ago out of an act of listening to Albertans, and understanding their unique challenges and aspirations. Our 5,000 plus creative team members are on a mission to make banking truly work for every Albertan.

Those team members are ATB’s greatest strength. I am proud to work alongside them in creating happiness for our customers.
