Yingnan Wang was among the many University of Alberta students who dashed between buildings to avoid the cold on their way to and from class. It was an unassuming Thursday—at least on the surface.

Between classes, Wang was asked to make a pit stop at his local ATB. The tiny branch was located in a sunny corner in the basement of SUB. And, this is where our story takes place.
