ATB and the communities we serve have always had a strong connection. Since we opened our first branch in 1938, we’ve had strong ties to those who work for us and with our clients. We have always recognized that caring for the people we serve involves assisting those facing challenges and supporting activities that uplift all of our communities. By actively seizing opportunities to help and uplift the communities where we work and play, our roles become more than a job, but an integral part of our identity.
How we support our communities
Whether contributing personally, backing community partners, or providing assistance in times of need, ATB actively strives to enhance our communities and help them flourish.
ATB makes it possible for team members and communities to grow and thrive in a variety of ways:
Team Member Benefits
At ATB, we’re all about impact in action, big or small.
As active participants in our communities, team members understand first-hand where they make an impact and where the needs are the greatest.
Through ATB’s corporate team member matching program, team members have the opportunity to double their donations with a 100% match up to an annual maximum. Whether it’s supporting their favourite charity or for their local not-for-profit sports club, ATB helps to amplify team members’ financial gifts.
Donations aren't the only way team members can make an impact though. For every hour a team member spends volunteering for a not-for-profit, ATB will add funds to their giving account. These funds can be used to donate to any registered Canadian registered charity or not-for-profit. By doing this ATB makes it possible to expand team members’ individual community impact.
We believe that individual actions add up to make a large impact. Throughout the year, team members are invited to take coordinated meaningful steps to support a cause, such as supporting Truth & Reconciliation or bringing awareness to mental health.
Community Connection
Through our social impact donations program, ATB connects with communities by providing financial support in five key areas of focus: mental health, inclusive communities, youth innovation, financial well-being, and sustainable development.
Charities and not-for-profit organizations have an opportunity to request funds to help them achieve their goals.
In good times and in bad, ATB is here to help our neighbors and communities when disaster strikes.
As part of our emergency response during a crisis or emergency, we provide support to those impacted through corporate donations and meaningful on-the-ground partnerships.
