Tammy was born totally blind. Surgery at a young age allowed her to be legally blind in her "good" eye, and blind with light perception in her "bad" eye.

She works in the ATB Client Care Centre, using technology to give her vision a boost. Customers are amazed if she decides to tell them.

“This is the perfect job for me because I can focus on my verbal skills to help customers, “ said Tammy. “Hearing that I’ve helped make someone’s day better, well that makes me happy.”

Though surgery at a young age restored minimal sight, she relies on technology to do her job.
