Shawn brings more than 30 years of experience in commercial and real estate banking, M&As and corporate finance to his role as Managing Director, Diversified Industries and Energy Services.

In his time with ATB, Shawn has been on teams responsible for expanding and launching client lending programs and was key in developing the Edmonton market for ATB’s Business & Agriculture team. With the majority of his experience being in the Edmonton area, he has a great network he can turn to for collaboration. That local focus is one of the things he values about ATB: its “Alberta flavour.” All decisions are made in Alberta, and there’s a community nuance the ATB team inherently “gets,” making it faster to understand and support clients’ unique situations.

As a seasoned leader in business development and relationship management, Shawn also appreciates ATB’s client focus. He’s especially proud of how quickly ATB supported clients during the pandemic. “While the world was seemingly shutting down, we were quick to implement services to help stabilize our clients’ businesses.”
