ATB Financial taking proactive measures to keep Albertans safe

ATB to proactively close some branches beginning March 20

By ATB Financial 19 March 2020 2 min read

Edmonton—ATB Financial is taking every precaution to safeguard the health and safety of our team members, customers and the communities we serve. To help slow the spread of COVID-19, ATB is announcing the temporary closure of select branches, while reduced hours continue throughout the rest of our network.

“I am incredibly proud of our team members. They’ve continued to work hard together, supporting our customers through this uncertain time,” said Curtis Stange, president and CEO of ATB Financial. “They remain committed to providing essential financial services for our customers who continue to be at the heart of everything we do.”

The proactive measure starts this Friday, with more branches scheduled to close temporarily. Additional branches may be added to this list in the coming days. See atb.com for the most up-to-date closure list.

This is a time to support and take care of one another. If we all do our part and heed the advice of health experts, we can help flatten the curve and stop the transmission of this virus. We know it won’t be business as usual for a while. But Albertans are resilient and, just as we have gone through tough times before, we will get through this together,” said Stange.

Many ATB team members already work remotely. They have the tools and technology to serve customers over the phone and email. While this makes this transition easier, ATB appreciates the patience and understanding of our customers as we work with high volumes of customers to ensure everyone gets the financial assistance they need.

With temporary branch closures, there are many ways to continue to bank with ATB.
