How to cancel a pending transfer you sent by INTERAC e-Transfer® on ATB Online

Learn how to cancel pending money movements by INTERAC e-Transfer on ATB Online.

  1. Log in to ATB Online
  2. From the Accounts screen, click Interac e-Transfer® in the primary navigation
  3. From the Send Money screen, click Pending Transactions in the
    secondary navigation
  4. All pending transactions are listed in the table displayed; you can select start (From) and end (To) dates to display pending transactions within a certain time frame (you can only go back as far as 180 days) and click Display
  5. Click the recycle bin/trash can icon to cancel an Interac e-Transfer and follow the on-screen instructions; you can only cancel an Interac e-Transfer that has not yet been accepted by the recipient 
    1. Transfers by Interac e-Transfer expire after 30 days; they may be declined or become invalid if the recipient fails to answer the security question
    2. If the recipient hasn’t responded, click the envelope icon to send an email reminder and follow the on-screen instructions
