How to make or cancel scheduled bill payments on ATB Personal

Learn how to make and cancel one-time or recurring scheduled bill payments on the ATB Personal banking website.

Need to make bill payments on a regular basis? Set and forget it—set up recurring bill payments to automatically pay your bills. It’s a great option if your payee doesn’t have their own autopay feature or you don’t want to use credit.

How to cancel a scheduled bill payment

To schedule a recurring bill payment:

  1. Log in to ATB Personal.
  2. From the Overview screen, click Move Money in the primary navigation.
  3. From the Move Money menu, click Bill payments.
    1. Or click the Pay bill quick link under any deposit account.
  4. On the Bill payments screen, in the Recurring payment tab, select the account you want to make the payment From.
  5. Select the company (payee) you want to make the payment To.
  6. Enter the Amount you want to pay.
  7. Select the payment Frequency (weekly, every two weeks, monthly or yearly).
  8. Pick the Starting date.
  9. Decide when your recurring payment will end:
    1. If Never, payments will continue to be made automatically until you stop them.
    2. If End date, pick when you want the final payment to be made from the calendar view. The resulting number of payments will show up.
    3. If Number of payments, enter the number of desired payments. The resulting end date will show up.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Review and verify the transfer details, then click Pay bill to complete the payment.
  12. You're all done!

To view or cancel a previously scheduled bill payment:

  1. Log in to ATB Personal.
  2. From the Overview screen, click Move Money in the primary navigation.
  3. From the Move Money menu, click Bill payments.
    1. Or click the Pay bill quick link under any deposit account.
  4. On the Bill payments screen, in the Scheduled payments tab, click the payment you’re looking for.
  5. To cancel a scheduled payment:
    1. On the Scheduled payment details screen, click Cancel scheduled payment.
    2. Review and confirm your decision by clicking Confirm.
  6. You're all done!
