Jan Cerny is managing director of ATB Private Equity, the private equity arm of ATB Financial. In the past he served as vice president and director of corporate development with a number of energy, construction and industrial focused public and private companies.
He has over 20 years of experience in the accounting, finance, energy and industrial sectors. He has led many high-stakes transactions to success including organic growth initiatives, tactical bolt-on acquisitions and strategic billion-dollar deals.
Jan spent over five years in equity research and capital markets, focusing on the Canadian energy sector. He currently sits on the boards of several private companies and not-for-profits.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary. Jan obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 2005 and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.
