What's New:

What are some of the key new features with the updated ATB Mobile?

In January 2015, new functionality was added to ATB Mobile. ATB Mobile customers can now:

  • Send and receive Interac e-mail money transfers
    • To send an e-mail money transfer select Interac e-Transfer from the main menu. When you receive an e-mail money transfer and want to deposit it into an ATB account, it will ask you to log in to your ATB Mobile app before proceeding.
    • You will also be able to manage (create, modify or delete) email money transfer recipients in ATB Mobile.

  • Transfer funds between their ATB Canadian dollar (CAD) and U.S. dollar (USD) accounts
  • Add new payees for bill payment
    • To set up a new payee, select the Pay Bills icon from the main menu.
  • Manage online and mobile banking password
    • To manage your password, select “More” from the main menu and then choose “Password Management”.
  • Locate ATB branches and ABMs
    • Use “Find ATB Location” from the main page, or the Branch and ABM Locator from the More Page.  You can search by Postal Code or City, or by Current Location.

    • You can access ATB’s mobile money management tool ATB TrackIt on-the-go by going to “More” from the main menu.

How do I get updates for the latest version of ATB Mobile?

You will be notified of any ATB Mobile updates for your specific device when you log in to the application. You will then be able to follow a link to your specific app store to download the updated version.


What is ATB Mobile?

  • ATB Mobile is a free software application that can be downloaded and installed on your Apple, Android, or BlackBerry mobile device. With this application, you can check your account balances and history, transfer funds between your accounts, pay bills, Interac e-Transfer, find a branch/ABM, and more.
  • If you have an ATB Online account, you can use ATB Mobile. Unfortunately, the app does not support ATB Online Business customers at this time. Watch for an ATB Business Mobile app in late summer/early fall 2015.

How much does ATB Mobile cost?

  • ATB Mobile is free to our customers. Any transaction you complete in ATB Mobile will be logged as an account transaction, and depending on the type of account you have, there may be a fee associated with each transaction. Please check the number of free transactions that are included with your account.
  • Be sure to know the conditions of your mobile device plan as standard wireless messaging and data charges apply. If you are travelling, standard roaming charges may also apply.

How do I download ATB Mobile?

  • Find it by searching “ATB Mobile” wherever you get your apps on your device. You can also access the appropriate links near the top of this page – look for the App Store/Android/Blackberry icons. If you are unable or unwilling to download the ATB Mobile app, you can also complete your mobile banking through

Is ATB Mobile available in multiple languages?

  • ATB Mobile is currently available only in English.

What phones can use ATB Mobile?

  • ATB Mobile is available for any Apple, Blackberry, or Android mobile device. There is also a version available for any mobile browser at
  • ATB Mobile is available on Apple iPads and Android tablets, however the application does not take up the full view on the screen as it will with smart phones. ATB Mobile is not available on the BlackBerry Playbook tablet.
  • More specifically, the supported operating system requirements are listed below:
  • IPhone: iOS7.1 and iOS7.0 operating system. To find out your current operating system, go to Settings > General> About > Version
  • Blackberry: 10.2 and 10.0 operating system. To determine your current operating system, go to Options >About
  • Android: Android 4.4 and 4.3 operating systems. To determine your current operating system, go to Settings >About Phone

What is Mobile Browser Banking?

  • Mobile browser banking is a version of ATB Mobile that allows you to bank using any handheld mobile device. You don't need to download an app to use mobile browser banking—instead, you access your accounts through
  • As long as your phone has internet access, mobile browser banking will work on your mobile device.
  • You still need to be registered for ATB Online in order to use mobile browser banking.

Why should I use ATB Mobile?

  • ATB Mobile allows you to do the majority of your banking anywhere and anytime. It's convenient because you do not need to sit down at a computer, call the Customer Care Centre, or set foot in a branch.

When can I use ATB Mobile to do my banking?

  • ATB Mobile is available when ATB Online is available: 24/7/365.

What if there is a problem with ATB Mobile?

  • If there is a problem with ATB Mobile, you will see a message that advises you of the outage when you attempt to access the app. It will be similar to any outage notice which might be displayed on ATB Online.

  • ATB Mobile has the same 100% security guarantee as our ATB Online platform. To view ATB’s Online Security Guarantee please click here.

What if my phone is lost or stolen?

  • If your phone is lost or stolen, you should first call your carrier immediately to let them know and cancel your current phone. There will be no impact to your ATB Mobile account because no information is saved on your phone and your account information is password protected. 
  • If you are concerned that someone may have access to your user name and password, please call our Customer Care Centre at 1-866-282-4932 and inform them that you would like to reset your ATB Mobile username and password (which is, by extension, your ATB Online username and password). You will have to use this new username and password the next time you access ATB Mobile or ATB Online.

What if I get a new phone number?

  • The phone number on your mobile device will not impact your ability to use ATB Mobile.

What information is stored on my mobile device?

  • No personal information (customer data) is stored on your mobile device.

Is my customer name, card number or password stored on the app?

  • ATB Mobile does not store customer data, names, numbers, or passwords.

How can I protect my privacy and the security of my information?

  • Remember, ATB Mobile is similar to ATB Online and should be protected in the same way.  Here are some basic tips to remember when creating passwords for mobile devices:
    • Ensure your password is secret—never reveal it to anyone.
    • Do not write your password down or save it somewhere. Memorize it.
    • Never leave your mobile device unattended. Be sure to log out of ATB Mobile after each use.
    • Do not use the same password for multiple sites.
    • Do not include your birthday or that of family or friends, addresses, your name, or telephone number.
    • Make sure to lock your cell phone when you're not using it.

Why am I being asked to answer security questions more often when I log in to ATB Mobile and ATB Online?

This is just one of the things ATB does to validate your identity and protect our customers. You can manage your security questions in ATB Online.

Log In:

Do I need to be registered for ATB Online to use ATB Mobile?

  • Yes.  All customers that sign up for, or already have access to ATB Online will automatically have access to ATB Mobile. There is no separate enrolment process required for the mobile app.
  • All retail customers as well as any simple Business and Agriculture customers on the ATB Online platform will be able to use ATB Mobile, however, it is not available for ATB Online Business customers. Watch for an ATB Business Mobile app in late summer/early fall 2015.

Where do I receive my user name and password?

  • Once you are registered with ATB Online, you are automatically registered for the ATB Mobile app. Your username and password will be the same as ATB Online.

Where do I log in?

  • When you open ATB Mobile on your mobile device, you will be taken directly to the login screen. Your username and password will be the same as your ATB Online banking login information.

What if I don’t remember my user name or password for ATB Mobile?

  • If you have forgotten your password, you can click the “Forgot Password” link below the Sign In button on the Mobile banking login page. This will allow you to reset your password if you can confirm your identity.
  • You can also call ATB's Customer Care Centre at 1-866-282-4WEB (4932) for assistance with forgotten passwords and other problems accessing your account.

Can I change my password at any time?

  • You can change your password at any time. Although you are not required to change your password regularly, ATB recommends that you change your password at least every 90 days for added security.
  • NOTE: When you change your password in ATB Mobile, your password is also changed in ATB Online.

Do I need to enter my username every time I log in?

  • If you use the “Remember Me” feature in ATB Mobile, the app will track your credentials at login so that you will not need to enter your Username every time you log in. To stop using the feature, simply de-select the check box.
  • NOTE: If you choose to use the “Remember Me” feature, the app will ask you a security question, for your protection.


What accounts can I view?

  • With ATB Mobile, you can view all your deposit accounts, investments (registered and non-registered, with the exception of those held by ATB Investor Services), loans, and credit card balances.
  • ATB Investor Services investment products and RESP products are not available to view on ATB Mobile.

Can I make a payment to my loan from ATB Mobile?

  • Once you are registered with ATB Online, you are automatically registered for the ATB Mobile app. Your username and password will be the same as ATB Online.

What does the “Future Dated Payment/Transfer” feature do?

  • Future dated payments or transfers allow you to create a bill payment or transfer for a future date. That way you won’t need to remember to log in to ATB Mobile or ATB Online to make the payment/transfer.
  • These transfers and bill payments can be cancelled up to 24 hours before they are set to occur. After that time, the system cannot process your cancellation.

Will I receive text notification or web alerts about ATB Mobile?

  • Unfortunately, the text notification or web alert features are not available at this time.

Can I use ATB Mobile to transfer funds between Canadian dollar (CAD) and US dollar (USD) accounts?

  • Yes, immediate transfers are available when transferring between ATB CAD and USD accounts. These accounts must be held by the same account holder.  Recurring transfers cannot be set up between CAD and USD accounts.
  • NOTE:  Transfer to other financial institution accounts, where applicable, can only be done in CAD.

Pay Bills:

Can I pay a bill using ATB Mobile if it is not currently set up as a payee?

Yes, this is a new feature with our updated ATB Mobile. You can add a new bill payee from ATB Mobile. To set up a new payee, select the Pay Bills icon from the main menu. This only needs to be done once.

Can I pay a bill in USD?

  1. No, in ATB Mobile, bills can be paid only in Canadian currency from a Canadian deposit account, (the same applies to ATB Online).

Can I set up future dated bill payment on ATB Mobile?

  1. Yes, you can create future dated and recurring payments for both bill payments and transfers.

Tech Support:

I locked myself out of ATB Mobile. What do I do?  

  • Because ATB Mobile works in conjunction with your ATB Online account, you will be locked out of both services. Please call our Customer Care Centre at 1-866-282-4932 and an ATB associate will help you unlock both accounts.

I need help using ATB Mobile. Who do I contact?

  • Give our Customer Care Centre a call at 1-866-282-4932, and an ATB associate will be happy to help you.

I am receiving a message on ATB Mobile that I don’t understand. What do I do?

  • Call our Customer Care Centre at 1-866-282-4932.

What are the hours for ATB Mobile and ATB Online support?

  • The ATB Mobile/ATB Online support teams at our Customer Care Centre are available from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. You can reach them at 1-866-282-4932.
