This offer is for Albertans who are new to ATB. You qualify if you*:
- Are a resident of Alberta.
- Haven't had an ATB chequing account, savings account, Mastercard, or personal loan with us in the last 3 years.
- Open a new eligible chequing account during the offer period and provide a valid email address so we can keep you updated on your bonus status.
- Keep your accounts active and in good standing for at least 12 months.
Note: This offer is limited to one per person. Upgrading or transferring an existing ATB account does not qualify.
Step 1: Open your package
To qualify, you must open the ATB Essentials Plus package. You must open your eligible accounts first—your 60-day qualification window starts the day you open your ATB Advantage Account and or ATB World Elite Mastercard.
Step 2: Set up your chequing account and get $400* cash
Complete these two milestones within 60 days of opening your ATB Advantage Account:
- Set up direct deposit: Receive a recurring deposit of $350 or more (such as payroll from your job or a government student grant). You must receive at least one deposit per month for two months in a row. Learn how to set up direct deposits here.
- Make two payments ($50+ each): Complete two qualifying transactions. You can mix and match bill payments (like your phone or credit card bill) and pre-authorized debits (like rent). Learn how to pay your bills here.
Step 3: Use your Mastercard and get an additional $500* in cash and value
To earn the full bonus, your ATB World Elite Mastercard must be opened at the same time as or after your new ATB Advantage Account, then complete your credit card tasks within 60 days of opening your ATB World Elite Mastercard:
- Get your welcome points: Make your first purchase to receive your 40,000 welcome reward points (a $200 value*).
- Meet the spend goal: Spend a total of $3,000 within 60 days of opening your new credit card (remember your date opened is not the activation date)
- Connect your accounts: Make at least one payment to your Mastercard balance from your new ATB Advantage Account.
Important things to know:
- Total value: Completing Step 2 earns you $400. Completing both Step 2 and Step 3 unlocks the full $900* package value.
- Stay eligible: Keep your accounts open and in good standing for at least 12 months to keep your bonus.
- Check your email: Make sure your email address is correct in your profile so we can send you updates on your bonus status.
