- intend to use the card for personal banking only
Yes. You can apply for this card with a co-applicant and use it jointly.
Both co-applicants must meet the eligibility requirements and will be jointly responsible for the account.

There are two different kinds of insurance and one benefit program you can access when you use your card to purchase the full cost of a car rental or common carrier (i.e. a commercial entity that gets paid to transport goods or people) travel:
- Car Rental Collision/Damage Waiver insurance2: Receive up to 31 days of collision damage waiver coverage, plus personal effects insurance coverage up to $1,000 per insured person.
- Common Carrier Accidental Death & Dismemberment2: Insurance benefits of up to $300,000 if covered loss occurs while occupying a common carrier.
- Car Rental Accidental Death & Dismemberment2: Insurance benefits of up to $225,000 if covered loss occurs while occupying a rental car.
You also have access to 24/7 assistance and advice for lost luggage or documents, ticket replacements, and legal referrals when travelling outside Alberta.2
With the ATB Gold Cash Rewards Mastercard, you can take advantage of Purchase Assurance & Extended Warranty.2 When you use your card to purchase eligible new items, this insurance protects against damage or theft for up to 90 days and doubles the original manufacturer's warranty up to one additional year.
